EarthSave Canada—Taste of Health

Earthsave Canada, established in 1989, exists to educate, inspire, and empower people to shift toward a plant-based diet centred on fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes-foods that are healthy for people and the planet.

With a current membership base of well over 600 individuals and families, an office and resource library, Earthsave Canada is one of the largest Earthsave affiliates in the world.

Earthsave Canada's 9th annual "Taste of Health," is being held at the Croatian Cultural Centre in Vancouver on Saturday September 29 and Sunday September 30. This is Western Canada's largest vegetarian food fair where earth-, human-, and animal-friendly products and services are showcased.

Anyone who loves food will have a great time. The festival is designed to help attendees learn how easy it is to add vegetarian and vegan foods to everyday life. They discover that not only can it save them money, but that it can also have a positive impact on their health and the health of the planet.

Some of the features of the Taste of Health Festival:

  • food demos by chefs, cookbook authors, and foodies representing culinary schools, restaurants, and small businesses
  • a book fair, a silent auction, and veggie food court
  • keynote speakers who will present thought-provoking ideas
  • workshops and educational discussions about eating lower on the food chain and related lifestyle choices
  • the opportunity to sample and buy many great-tasting veggie foods at the "try it and buy it market"
